I've accumulated more outfits and sets of armor for Jahnn than any other toon in the game. It's gotten so bad, I had to give them their own page on the site here:

Last Updated 2015-05-02: Destroyer Armor updated and six new outfits added, with the advent of the new Outfit Designer feature in the game!

I very quickly realized when I started playing this character on Tython that I'd need better armor. I was still learning the game and hadn't yet cottoned to the fact that there's a difference between light and medium armor, and so just opted for the (cheaper) Nerf-Heder's Tunic, not realizing at the time that it was meant for Jedi Consulars rather than Knights. Somehow Jahnn survived my mistake.
Full Image
Very rough outfit, and I liked that. The clothes look lived-in, instead of sparkling clean like clothing tends to always be in a video game. I felt it was also a very practical-looking outfit for someone like a Jedi, when you take the ridiculous robes idea out of the picture. Still, as a level-3 outfit with a maximum protection ranking of 12, this outfit was not going to cut the mustard for very long.

ASPIRING KNIGHT'S VEST (Tython)
|
Full Image
The first outfit Jahnn earned, and also the first of two different outfits he'd wear both called the "Aspiring Knight's Vest." This version was given to him by his teacher Orgus Din on Tython. I always liked the look of it and regretted I couldn't find a modifiable version. I kept the original as a momento, though.

Now we're talking -- here's some more traditional-looking Jedi Robes. The game started throwing jedi robes at me in the mid-20 levels, and this was my favorite. Jahnn wore this "Inspiration Vest" pretty much through his 20s and 30s.
Full Image
I found that with a more Jedi-esque outfit, traditional green and blue sabers looked a lot better than my usual favorite gold or the rare and unconventional purple. What I really liked about this particular Jedi robe is how rich the color was; I have three or four other ones of the same level, but they all look so washed-out that it was just no fun to wear them.
Full Image
I usually do not care for the rigid, built-in hoods on all the Jedi robes, but on this oufit I had to admit it looked great. I still wouldn't mind an option to put the hood down. Or maybe they could just make hoods a head-slot that you can equip and/or make invisible? That'd work.

Galactic Trade Network purchase Jahnn finally gets a real Jedi robe, even though he had to sneak off and buy it on the GRN...

And here's an outfit I absolutely loved, but never had much of a chance to wear. Purchased on the Galactic Trade Network, this outfit was the second one Jahnn would wear that was titled the Aspiring Knight's Vest. This variant is also known as the "Jedi Hoodie." On a female player, it turns into a little midrif-revealing hoodie tee. I really liked this outfit; it's so obviously arcane and fantastic, but not at all a Jedi cliche robe. A very unique, creative outfit.
Full Image
Here's some detail work on Jahnn's Aspiring Knight's Vest. The tan-brown trim with those symbols scrolling across them remind me of Sintra (Portugal, where I took my vacation last summer), and all the cork-based things they had for sale there: cork hats, purses, shoes... The tan trim on this outfit looks like it could have come straight from Sintra.
Full Image
Even closer detailing on the Aspiring... outfit. To me, this outfit rang true because it really did feel like something a Jedi would wear. I've never, ever liked the idea that all Jedi were required to wear those same stupid boring (movement-restricting) robes; doesn't it make more sense that they'd prefer something like this, that seems to provide protection and allow a freer range of movement?
Full Image
Can you tell I really liked this outfit? It's just a shame I discovered it too late to really make use of it. Maybe some day I'll decide to spend the cash to mod it up to L47 specs so I can run around showing it off.

For the mid-levels, I got tired of Jedi vestments altogether and started looking for something more contemporary. I settled on a Drelliad Jacket off the Galactic Trade Network and built a new ensamble around it.
Full Image
And a closeup of the jacket. I liked how it looked like something casual, like you'd see on a pilot of a transport ship or something. The arm bracers are the unique Social Item gloves from Balmorran, the "Balmora Resistance Gloves."
Full Image
A saber with this jacket and jeans outfit looks pretty cool, in my opinion. Sadly, Jahnn's Jedi masters took no notice of his blatant disregard for proper Jedi attire.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full Image
And now a few images from Jahnn's records (mainly taken more than a year ago); an incognito Jahnn and Kira (and a random smuggler) accompany neophyte Jedi Ra'r'tee on the Esseles transport. Yes, that Esseles. The trio is engaged by Asara, assumed to be Ra'r'tee's little sister, who alerts them to the impending danger.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full Image
Jahnn attempts to assure Ambassador Asara while simultaneously obtaining her phone number. This is a good close-up of Jahnn in his jacket; he wore it for a good six months of game time before moving on to something new.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full Image
Ambassador Asara demonstrates how well she can fill out a uniform while Jahnn and Random D. Smuggler nod in approval. Kira rolls her eyes. Off-camera, Ra'r'tee performs her first of many Jahnn-induced facepalms.

Jahnn dons the Sith robes he picked up while rescuing that total puss Revan, the Sith Blademaster's Vest. This outfit appealed to me because it's obviously very well-armored. This looks like something a front-line fighter would wear into combat. It's also not typical Jedi fare; it looks more like a full black leather coat. I liked it immediately.
Full Image
And here's a close-up of Jahnn in his Sith robes. These robes were acquired as a drop on the Maelstrom Prison flashpoint, and apparently it's a very rare drop. I was doubly lucky both to be on a team that got the drop, and to be the member of the team that won the roll for it. It's the only black-colored robe I've yet found that Republic characters are allowed to wear.
Full Image
The newly-acquired purple saber suits the outfit's theme very well. I love this outfit, but I'd love it more if it didn't have that hood in the way all the time... In any case, I'd been wishing for a black robe for my Jedi for 40 levels at that point, and now finally Jahnn has something to wear when he travels with his Sith buddy, Scourge.
Update - 09-07-2013 -- Full Image
Jahnn works with an up-and-coming Republic officer to defeat a focussed Imperial sabotage campaign on Quesh, home of the ambient toilet smell. Also the only planet in the galaxy where lighting a fart is a class-E misdemeanor.
Jahnn looks on silently while Captain Saya'ka deals with a Hutt. As if having a Jedi backing her up wasn't already intimidating enough, they stack the deck by having Lord Scourge attend the meeting as well.
5 images
Flashpoint drop, Maelstrom Prison "I got brainwashed by the Sith Emperor and all I got was this Sith robe."
(Well, actually, he got the robe in a Flashpoint right before completing Chapter 2. But the timing's close enough that I always just assumed it was supposed to be Jahnn's "Sith Apprentice" uniform.)

DIRE ELIMINATOR'S CHESTGUARD
|
Full ImageThe Cartel Market went up around this time, allowing players to spend real money on pretend-items in the game, and I was suckered into it hook line and sinker. Jahnn receives my first purchase, the Dire Eliminator's Chestguard. It's Adaptive armor so it automatically becomes light, medium, or heavy armor depending on the requirements of the character wearing it. Both my Jedi characters and their Jedi students wear them, usually.
Full ImageA closeup of the Dire Eliminator's outfit. I love how it looks like complicated and durable armor and yet also looks like something a high-and-mighty spiritual warrior would wear without protest. It's a perfect outfit for a Force-powered free-agent like Jahnn.
Update - 03-30-2013 -- Full ImageYet more detail on the Dire Eliminator's outfit. If the outfit hadn't been pulled from the Cartel Market (basically so they could use it as a reward item instead...), I'd likely have bought $100's worth of them for all my characters by month's end. So... I guess it's a good thing they did pull it. Oh, and hey! Cartel Packs have purple saber crystals in them, sometimes!
Update - 03-30-2013 -- Full ImagePurple crystals for everyone! Jahnn's now equiped both his sabers with Avanced Derilect Purple crystals, and even had one left over for his beloved little sister, Ra'r'tee! Click the picture for a full-sized image.
Update - 03-30-2013 -- Full ImageWise and gentle (yeah, right-!) Jedi Consular Ra'r'tee tries out her new weapon under master Jahnn's supervision. ^_^

DIRE ELIMINATOR'S CHESTGUARD redux
|
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAfter six months of slow and steady progression, Jahnn's look has developed quite a bit and it was time to update his Dire Eliminator's outfit pics for posterity. Better gauntlets, pants, and boots make this look like a more heavily-armored outfit now.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageI like those glow-points on the gauntlets. Flashy but not too overpowering. These Ulgo trousers have a nice matching color but I didn't like the little "bib" just beneath the belt there. I'd later find a better set.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageThis outfit goes well with purple sabers, which are a favorite of mine. I'd prefer something in dark grey or black for Jahnn to reflect his ousting from the Jedi Order proper, but so far nothing acceptable has appeared.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageA group of hostage-takers realizes the gravity of their situation as Jahnn solemnly approaches. Negotiation is clearly not what is planned here.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAt this point, Jahnn had reached Hoth, and I decided to have a little fun with the dye kits by giving him some artic camo. White dyes are way too expensive to justify buying, but Jahnn can craft light-gray. I figured I'd give it a try.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageYeah... dull light gray just didn't have the lasting visual power I was hoping for, but it was fun while I was still running through the snow.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageI really added the gray dye to Jahnn's outfit in the hopes of making it look more like dark leather or something along those lines. No such luck, but it did suit his Hoth stint, so I kept the dye module until I was done with the planet.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageNice closeup of the modified armor. I still like the detail on this armor set.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn on Hoth discusses tactics with a local Republic soldier. Brrr. He and Kira look cute in their matching snow gear, though. ^^
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAlternatively, Jahnn has the same conversation with towering sunburn victim Scourge, thanks to the anterograde memory loss condition suffered by the officer Jahnn's speaking to.
10 images
Cartel Market purchase I still love the chestpiece, but the gauntlets and boots needed an upgrade. I also discover that dye packs can be used for evil as well as good.

Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAnnnnnnnd I discovered the Collections feature of TOR, which lets me produce an endless supply of an armor set for all my characters after I acquire one instance of that set and pay a cartel coin fee. Suddenly all my characters have a small list of outfits they can summon up without having to make a purchase on the Galactic Trade Network.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAs briefly mentioned before, by this point Jahnn's cut official ties with the Jedi Order and only works with them when Satele asks politely (making him a consulting space-ninja, I guess). But sometimes it pays to remind these overpious stuffed shirts that he earned a higher Jedi's rank than any of them. Thusly Jahnn sometimes borrows a robe from one of his inside contacts at the Jedi academy on Tython, Master Relnex. I imagine that Jahnn wears it to rub it in their faces that a "failed" Jedi like him has accomplished more than the entire Order has since the time of Revan.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageIt's a cool outfit for a traditional Jedi player, and offers the added bonus of having a hood that's down instead of hiding the wearer's head. It only took the devs a year and a half to catch on to the fact that players seem to prefer robe-hoods down...
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn shows off another unlocked collection goodie, the silver-blue color crystal. It seems to be based on the old Mantle of the Force crystal from Knights of the Old Republic. I like it because it's obviously a special color crystal, but also still blue enough that it helps him look like a traditional Jedi Guardian when he's wearing these robes. Jahnn obviously wants to make it clear to his detractors among the Jedi just how awesome he is.
4 images
Galactic Trade Network purchase Return of the brown Sears bathrobe, as Jahnn returns to his roots and I discover how to use the Collections feature of the game.

|
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageContinuing on this theme, here's a set of military armor adapted for Jedi usage, recognizable as the armor worn by the troop of elite Jedi who fell to Malgus's invasion force on Coruscant. It seems to have become a fashionable choice for Jedi who require more protection than heavy leather and burlap robes can provide.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageI really like how this outfit can look like Jedi-y attire but still clearly have enough armoring to really seem practical on a battlefield where shrapnel and debris are exploding all around you. It strikes me as being much more practical in this kind of situation than a bath robe. Kind of a philosopher's suit of armor, done Space Invaders style. It's classy.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageWait, you mean I could have been emoting all this time-?! Jahnn shows off the attitude that makes him an ideal hero and a poor Jedi.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAnd Jahnn discovers his lightsaber suddenly has a refreshing Mint flavor!
Or maybe I just unlocked the collection for the "Mint" colored crystal. As an advanced-color-version, I like their green more than the blue in the previous outfit's screenshots. The "Mint" crystal is still obviously green, but also obviously not the normal green.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageI always associated green sabers with Jedi Masters and elders, while blue was connected in my mind more with the Knights and front-line fighters. So we can assume here that Jahnn's wearing Jedi armor and using a Master's color in order to impress the naive students on Tython or something. Or just pick up chicks.
5 images
Galactic Trade Network purchase I continue to go nuts with the Collections option in the game, and throw a few more Cartel Coins at the market to get Jahnn an iconic set of armor.
09-06-2013
|
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAll this towing the Jedi line really gets to Jahnn really fast. Of course he's going to have a set of more comfortable clothes to throw on! Jahnn's disillusionment with the Jedi ideal's starting to take hold now, and it's showing in his mode of dress.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn moves through all manner of social strata, and cultivates contacts with the galactic underworld as readily as he does with the Jedi Council. It's very useful to be able to fit in among the backalleys and cartel ports of the galaxy, so a nice padded chestpiece and leather coat come in very handy to him.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageI was ecstatic when the devs finally released a good-looking overcoat that was common enough that it wouldn't cost millions on the Galactic Trade Network to buy. The Vandal Duster has some animated textures as well, mainly on the back, as glowpoints run down the green detailing of the outift. I can see Smugglers and Imperial Agents getting even more use out of this, but it fits with the personality I play into Jahnn to a tee as well.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageSo as not to give away his connections to the Jedi Order proper while working undercovor, Jahnn reconfigures his lightsabers with more unaligned colors. His staple purple is complimented by the new "copper" color crystal, which seems to be based off the Heart of the Guardian super-rare crystal from Knights of the Old Republic back in '03.
4 images
Galactic Trade Network purchase Jahnn's first tentative steps towards embracing his Verg heritage. We start moving away from Jedi outfits towards the renegade "Verge" look.

DESTROYER ARMOR Outfit Designer slot
|
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageIt's obviously the same model as the Dire Eliminator's Chestguard, but in a darker color and encorporating some subtle but really cool glowpoints in the chestpiece. I think it works for Jahnn a lot better.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageSome nice detailing on the armor. The glowpoints really add something to the complicated pattern of the chest armor. Jahnn clearly approves, smirking at the camera in full confidence of his enhanced smexiness rating.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageJahn shows off his newly-modified sabers, now sporting the rare Silver-Blue color to play off his new robes. He and Kira in their blue and red armored robes now compliment each other much better, visually.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full Image...Especially since now Jahnn carries two silver-blue sabers while Kira's double-saber sports "Blood-Red" blades. A Jedi who left the light and a Sith who deserted the darkness, now happily stuck in the middle with each other.
Update - 09-06-2013 -- Full ImageAs the local cash machine eats his credit card, Jahnn demonstrates the power of negative emotion. I like how this outfit and the Dire Eliminator's armor it shares a template with are both perfectly acceptable to a light- or dark-sider without any extra visual modification necessary. They're just flexible armor with a covert jacket/robe over it. Perfect for any Sith or Jedi.
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Well, two years wearing the same basic outfit is a long time; it's time for an update. The Red Blade's Boots are dyed black/gray, and more recently a pair of Stalker's Gloves have been added to the mix. I love how those Stalker's Gloves look.
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Looking more like really hardened armor now but not heavy enough to slow down a Force Leaping sentinel. Better utility belt, too. Lots of nice little improvements since 2013, huh?
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
And another big change: Jahnn now carriers a pair of Starforged lightsabers, with special white-blue-purple crystals! I liked the color immediately, a very nice indicator of how Jahnn's gone his own way now rather than following those stuffy old Jedi.
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
The saber hilt (the "Betrayer's Starforged Lightsaber") seems to be based on the lightsabers seen way back in Knights of the Old Republic, and it has a unique humming sound. I like how simple the design is but how much detail they work into it.
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn's "Vergent Order" outfit's never looked better, and he's never looked more deceptively noble than when holding one of his sabers at the ready. The fangirls sigh. And then roll their eyes, exasperated.
Update - 05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Detailing on the Stalker's Gloves. What drew me to them is how they look so padded and flexible. Makes me imagine some lost technology, for forging arm-guards that could be used as a shield against lightsaber blows. Jahnn's ridiculously growing backstory sets him up as a hunter of lost Jedi and Sith knowledge, so this works well.

Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full Image
As an auxiliary member of Havok Squad, Jahnn often lives off military bases or ships, and so tends to wear Republic military uniforms when he's not armored up (I'm assuming he's considered something like a staff corps officer or warrant officer since he's never been through basic training or academy but probably does have an official commission).
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full Image
Hey, it beats doing laundry, and it reinforces Saya'ka's authority dealing with other officers.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn and Kira loiter around the hanger, waiting for a special evironment-controlled container to arrive.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageIt's here! Jahnn's Varactyl from Belsavis has been safely delivered to base! Jahnn lets the poor girl stretch her legs and lap the hanger a few times, after being cooped up in a shipping enclosure for so long.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageBack shot of Jahnn's new friend. Very pretty animal; very cool mount.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn and his feather-lizard have a good time for a while, but you can only chase terrified starship technicians around the hanger for so long before the screams start to sound old. Rider and mount head off to find Kira.
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageOn Coruscant, Jahnn and Saya'ka are playing a little game of theirs called, "I'm going to pretend you didn't just buy a luxury skiff and droid valet while we're in the middle of a mission." Even when Saya'ka doesn't lose, she loses...
Update - 12-12-2013 -- Full ImageJahnn's attempts to placate the soldier with offers of rides around the base laying next to him on the skiff fail to ply Saya'ka, who won't even look at him. Jahnn is inconsolable: it's like he can't do anything right with her today-!

PRISTINE ARDENT WARDEN'S VEST
|
02-15-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn shows off his reward for completing the thoroughly-underwhelming Oricon dailies for the first time: the Prisine Ardent Warden's Vest. Cool outfit for a Jedi, manages to look like robes and practical armor at the same time.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Nifty glowpoints. I'm conflicted about the hoodie, though (I don't like hoods as a rule...). And to be honest, it actually makes Jahnn look kind of pudgy. It's certainly not as ostentatious as some of the high-end armor sets are, though.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Contemplative pose from Jahnn, showing off some zoomed-in detail. The shoulder pads are a victory for whoever designed this outfit: they don't look ridiculous. Actually quite practical.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Light up the sabers! I was steadfastly using copper crystals on Jahnn's sabers at this point. Thought it made him stand out from the normal Jedi. I'd later fall back on my purple/orange mainstay scheme.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Hey, cool, the hood comes down! Granted, you have to wear one of a special few circlets that force the hood down. Jahnn doens't exactly fit the bill for a tiara-wearing space-princess, but it still looks better than having the hood up all the time.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Hood-downed Jahnn tries out something different with his sabers this time. Really I was getting fed up with Oricon's very limited red-orange color pallet and was desperate to add a little color to the game. Hence the mint color crystals.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Zooming in a little, something else cool about this outfit becomes apparent: even when you force the hood to be hidden, it still looks good. There's a collar where the hood was that still makes the outfit look right.
Too bad this outfit doesn't dye very well. I'd love to get it in a dark gray or black hue. Oh, well.

RAIDER'S COVE PUMMELER'S CHESTGUARD Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
When the Shadow of Revan expansion hit last December, Jahnn is summoned to the remote pirate world of Rishi, where he's "comically" mistaken for the captain of the canibalistic Red Hulls pirate gang. Never one to be constrained by the edicts of good taste, Jahnn concluded he should look the part and began collecting bits for an outfit that he figured would make him look more like a pirate. Most bizarre part? It worked.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Pirate Captain Jahnn of the Red Hulls practices looking menacing. When he considered two eyepatches to help sell the outfit better, Saya'ka finally had to put her foot down.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn makes an announcement in an ancient traditional Rishi language. It translates to "YAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!"
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Every good space pirate needs a good space parot (or failing that, a good kowakian monkey lizard). Fortunately Jahnn long ago hatched his own Moa Bird to serve this purpose. Attempts to teach the creature to speak meet with resistance.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
A pirate captain is only as good as his cutlass, and in this one specific area Jahnn excells. A nice deep-colored Advanced Purple Outline crystal in his saber, and Jahnn's lightsaber is ready to cut down all foolish enough to make fun of his ridiculous pirate outfit.

SUBERSIVE JACKET Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Update 3.2 drops, and Jahnn discovers the Outfit Designer! He can now hop between multiple pre-arranged outfits without sacrificing his mods/stats. I went a little nuts with it, but it definitely rekindled my love for finding new combinations of cool clothes.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
The Subversive Jacket is a cool trenchcoat with leather armor underneath... in an ugly shade of green. I slapped a black/brown dye module in there first thing. The gloves are the very cool and shockingly inexpensive Tranquil Mystic's Gauntlets. The Advanced Slicer Boots are cool too, sporting a hold-out blaster and a knife in the ankle-holsters (you'll have to page back one image to see them, sorry). Handy for inter-alleyway encounters.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn dons his outfit's optional goggles, to better help disguise him when doing undercover work in bars and backalleys. Sadly, despite the advertisement's promises, he's unable to see Saya'ka's underwear.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Detailing on the back of the coat. Really looks great after it's dyed a more workable color. Also note the glowpoint in the palm. I imagine it's some sort of Verg-tech shield generator so Jahnn can reach out and catch incoming lightsaber blades. Oh what, that makes me a nerd? I've played a Star Wars Online Roleplaying Game on my computer for four years. That ship's already sailed, hombre.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Outfit looks cool when Jahnn winds up to bat. It's another nice shot of the Starforged saber hilt, too. See all those little glowpoints in there?

DURASTEEL ARMOR Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Considering how much time he spends serving as a member of Major Saya'ka's Havok Squad, Jahnn mixes up an unlikely combination of bit to produce a nice set of Republic armor. The "Ironclad Soldier" gloves and lowers combine like Voltron with a simple random Durasteel Armor chestplate off the Galactic Trade Network, and then a white-red dye module makes it complete. Jahnn can now fit in with the rest of the Major's team and also enjoy some better protection from incoming flak rounds.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Saya'ka's player Tohru has said several times that she considers her Havok Squad's official colors to be white with red trim, and I've been wishing for an opportunity to put Jahnn in the team colors ever since. With the Outfit Designer feature finally rolled out, this at last becomes a possiblity and Jahnn can don his Havok Squad armor with pride.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Note the little nicks and dents in the armor. The shoulders also sport the Havok logo, but it's been faded out. It's a very nice touch.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn restores standard Republic colors to his lightsabers while in uniform. I imagine that Jahnn has to be careful not to let his rogue operations overlap with his time in Havok. It'd put Saya'ka in a difficult position.

A very unusual figure is cut by a military armor-clad man waving a lightsaber. I think that juxtaposition is what makes this outfit so cool. It's easy to imagine Jahnn gearing up and rushing out of a dropship into a hot LZ alongside a mess of gun-toting troops. I admit I don't care for the perfect-square backpack, though. Wish I could've found a dye-able chestpiece without it.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Of course the whole point of this armor has always been that it's a protective, sealed environment. Which means the armor needs a helmet. A "Resolute Protector Headgear" helmet serves the purpose nicely.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Detailing on the helmet. There are several options when looking for a trooper helmet on the Galactic Network, but what drew me to this one is how lean it looks. It's not bulky, it's thin and streamlined. The red splattering is assumed to be not blood but warpaint-like decoration. Or maybe Jahnn was hit by a sudden nosebleed while donning his helmet one day, whatever.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
I have to say that looking straight-on at that helmet would be mightily unsettling. I don't believe for one second that the Republic designs its helmets like this -- bone-white and evocative of some sort of hideous, deformed skull -- for any reason other than pure intimidation. Seems to me the Sith Empire should be the ones following that kind of philosophy, but the prequels ruined that idea for everyone. Oh, well.

EXTERMINATOR'S CUIRASS Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
I had no interest in the uninspired, lifeless Clone Wars "cartoon" that LucasFilm stubbornly kept producing long past the point anyone seemed to care; I simply wasn't the intended audience and that's fine. In the 15 minutes of one episode I did watch, though, I admit that I saw one thing I liked: the way the Jedi sometimes wore White Republic armor under their robes when they knew they were going into battle. I wished for a way to produce a similar look in Old Republic for my Jedi characters.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
The means to achieving this wish wound up being the simple combination of the black "Exterminator's Cuirass" armor-and-robes outfit and a Medium Brown/White dye module. Add a set of Resolute Protector Greaves and Boots, and Jahnn now appears to be wearing a brown Jedi robe over light Republic armor.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
As I've stated several times already, Jahnn's not really a Jedi any longer by this point; he's left the order to pursue his own agenda. But he's on agreeable terms with Satelle Shan, for whom he sometimes does favors when she needs a job done and can't get the Jedi Order officially involved. I imagine Satelle would make sure he was properly equipped for any such jobs with the best Jedi armor available.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
I imagine that a Jedi-esque outfit like this would also help Jahnn establish some authority when working with Republic forces. Republic military personnel are likely so used to working with Jedi at this point that they all understand that they should hold their fire for an unidentified figure in a brown robe with a lightsaber. Jahnn's usual Destroyer Armor outfit isn't really something that most grunts would assume is anything but hostile...

Galactic Trade Network purchase Jahnn adds a more classical outfit to his repertoire, presumably to placate hardliners on the Jedi Council.

BLADE SAVANT CHESTGUARD Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
The Blade Savant armor set's chestpiece looks great, but the corresponding gloves and boots and trousers do not. So I replaced them with bits from other outfits to produce a nice scifi'd samurai uniform. It's a great-looking set, but the reason it's still drab brown and gray instead of a more interesting combination of colors is that this outfit dyes horribly.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Nice glowpoints, anyway. It puts one in mind of an old, previous iteration of the Jedi's normal robes. Personally, though, I suspect this outfit probably started life as an attempt by the devs to reproduce Knights of the Old Republic II's Jal Shey armor, and somewhere along the line they decided what they had was too cool-looking for that and expanded it into an original outfit set all its own.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
A zoom-in shows off some interesting (or bizarre) aspects of this outfit: the armor chestpiece and shoulder pads seem to be attached to nothing except the cloth robes. There's no straps or anything to hold it in place. Force magic or sloppy design?
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
My personal headcannon is that this armor is the result of Jahnn's study of ancient Force-using orders beyond the Jedi and Sith. So assume hand-folded cortosis alloy and personal lightsaber blade-repelling shields. It's just Jedi-like enough, though, that observers would assume he's a Jedi without question.

Galactic Trade Network purchase A super-cool armor set with a doofy name, this one wound up in Jahnn's Outfit Designer rotation based solely on how awesome and samurai-ish it is.

SITH BLADEMASTER'S VEST redux Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
As the 3.2 update looms, so too does the new Sith planet Ziost. For the first phase of his mission on this dark and dreary world, Jahnn elected to pull his old Sith robes out of storage. It turned out to be a wasted effort; his cover was blown within minutes of landing on the planet. Jahnn, recall, obtained this chestpiece on a flashpoint and then wore it when he was turned by the Emperor during chapter 2 of his class storyline.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn didn't wear this chestpiece for long after he obtained it way back when, because I didn't feel that any of the other bits fit right with it. Three years later, though, there are Stalker's Gloves, Valiant Jedi Greaves, and Red Blade's Boots that work together to produce a very Sithy ensemble. Very credible as a dark side outfit, now.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
I still like the heavy leather look of this outfit. Before the advent of Adaptive Armor and the Cartel Market sets, this was really the only dark-colored darkside-looking outfit a Jedi Knight could hope to obtain. Years later, even when held up against more recent options, it still looks unique and Sithy.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Naturally, Jahnn would need to replace his sabers' color mods with Ziostian crystals (actually Advanced Pink-Red Indesructible Crystals I have legacy-unlocked) more common to the Sith before attempting an infiltration of Sith-controlled space. One imagines this made it all the more galling to him when Lana Beniko outed him as a Republic agent almost immediately after coming to the planet.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn continues practicing a hateful expression that doesn't come naturally to him. I expect this is how he looked during the unspecified period of time he was under the Sith Emperor's control. It's never made clear exactly what evil deeds he was compelled to do or how many people he was made to kill in the Emperor's name before breaking free and returning to the Republic, or even how long he was enthralled. It's a given that when he wears this reminder of that time, though, it's done solemnly and only when absolutely necessary.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn gets serious with whatever training device he's working with here in his ship. Maybe just wearing this old outfit makes him feel a little darker.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn demonstrates a power decidedly not of the Jedi. As a Verg, rising above concepts of both light and dark, Jahnn is acquainted with the power of the Dark Side as well as the light. It's probably the only thing that let his deception last as long as it did on the Ziost station.

MISSION VAO'S JACKET Outfit Designer slot
|
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Everyone needs to go casual every now and then. While trying to think up good outfits for the Outfit Designer, I realized that Jahnn's never had a non-armor or -robes outfit that really suited his laid-back personality. I pulled together several different bits and wound up with something that looks nicely cobbled-together but also nicely Star Wars-y. One imagines Jahnn wearing this when just tossing one back at a bar (sorry, cantina). Note again the hold-out weapons on the ankles of the Advanced Slicer's Boots.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
I've always imagined that if Jahnn hadn't come into the Force and fallen in with the Jedi, he'd likely have wound up a smooth-talking smuggler. This outfit's a great idea of what he would have looked like. Note, though, that even when going casual he still keeps a pair of Verg-tech shield modules on his gloves.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
The chestpiece this outfit is built around is Mission Vao's Jacket, obviously patterned after the default appearance of the tiny and adorable teenager Mission Vao from Knights of the Old Republic. I'm happy assuming that Jahnn wears the vest for its utility and nice leather look rather than out of some sort of fixation on who it was based on. That'd be creepy even for Jahnn.
05-02-2015 -- Full Image
Jahnn brandishes his Starforged lightsabers, outfitted with Verg colors. It'd be a handy oufit for fighting, though obviously not as protective as some of his full armor sets. Happily, with the Outfit Designer it's not an issue; the stats remain optimal. Take that, armor restriction system!
