Jahnn the Jumping JediMy name is Draegos, and this site was supposed to be my blog detailing my adventures in the Star Wars: The Old Republic online roleplaying game.  But I never update it so it’s turning into the place where I put all my roleplaying info on my characters and ideas from the game for my teammates to see.

I’ve been a subscriber in Old Republic since launch and was active in the beta phase.  I don’t enjoy PvP because it’s pointless and frustrating to me, and I rarely join Ops because they’re a nightmare to organize without a guild and don’t have good value returns for the time wasted spent on it.  I enjoy the stories and the character build options, and running missions with teams of people I like and trust.  I also used to run around the starter planets passing out expensive color crystals and other goodies to the newbies, before the game’s social geography changed and players stopped answering when I’d asked if there were any newcomers on the planet…

I usually play with my best friend Tohru, working our various characters through their storylines together and having a lot of fun making up stories for how these crazy people ever came to work together.

I used to maintain a simpler website dedicated to tracking our characters’ progress in the game, but it wound up being a huge inconvenience to maintain and I eventually lost interest — I refused to use any kind of content creation software and so was editing the raw HTML for every new entry.  I still tell myself I may go back and redo it all in WordPress some day.

I was a member of the small and tightly-knit Balance Foreshadowed guild for the last couple of years they were still active, and it was a blast.  I still miss them even if Avandar was totally wrong about his theories about the prequels.  You heard me, Av.

Before Old Republic, I played Star Wars Galaxies (pre- and post-NGE, stop whining about it already guys srsly), Champions Online, Guild Wars, and City of Heroes (more due to crazy girlfriend demands than a legitimate interest).
